Passportal Inc., a Calgary-based industry leader in password management systems for Managed Service Providers (MSP) and Information Technology (IT) consulting firms, announced today its integration with Autotask, one of the world’s leading providers of hosted IT business management software.
The integration allows for the synchronization of resources and accounts from Autotask to Passportal, reducing the onboarding process and redundant data entry. This new release means that MSPs can auto-create direct links in Autotask that correlate to the passwords for each client in Passportal, resulting in time savings and streamlined password access for technicians.
Passportal is an industrial strength solution that stores, protects and manages tens of thousands of passwords for MSPs all over the world. The cloud-based product is hosted in SSAE 16 Type II certified data centres and features multiple levels of encryption and various other security technologies to ensure passwords are kept safe.
“We are thrilled to announce this integration with Autotask, and we are confident in our ability to provide a streamlined password management system for Autotask partners,” said Colin Knox, Chief Executive Officer, Passportal Inc. “The integration allows MSPs currently using Autotask to automatically generate Passportal accounts for their employees. Further to the synchronization of clients and users, IT support staff will have complete access to client passwords from any service ticket within Autotask.”
Autotask provides hosted IT business management software to streamline and optimize business processes for technology solution providers. The software integrates a broad range of critical business systems to help users understand the factors that drive their business and their profitability.
“Our integration with Passportal provides MSPs with a secure and reliable way to ensure passwords are properly managed,” said Patrick Burns, Vice President of Product Management, Autotask. “This partnership is another example of our commitment to giving MSPs the capabilities they need to easily access client information and respond to service tickets more effectively.”
Integration with respected vendors like Autotask will be a key focus for Passportal Inc. in 2014 and beyond, with a commitment to bolstering the efficiencies and protection of MSPs and their clients by securing access to passwords via granular permissions, and auditing the use of those passwords. As Passportal continues to evolve our solution, new developments provide automation and integrations with key MSP business tools.
